A brief Essay, from a large way.

Physichal therapy is a career releated with the life, and its movement. Too, this career is a science, a science about the movement (not just the humans) in this career you want know every step, and with every step you create the walk of the life, the walk of the humans, and the walk of every animal in this earth. But when you have so much doubts ("When you more learn something, more doubts you'll have"), you understand that the life don't exist just in the present, We, the Homo sapiens and the Homo neanderthalensis have understood the importance of the death in the future, because every death have a history, a hystory that reveal the growth this structures, this strange thing called "life". That idea is vital when you want understand a common pathology, in our chase, for understand the lumbago, beacause that say us that the evolution never stop and the problem could be the expression of a process, a biological process in this russian roulette, and that is an area that i want talk and work, the Phisical Therapy with an evolutive look, because our history could give us the tools for understand discomforts that neither the energy (Oriental culture) nor the medicaments (Occidental culture) could heal.

The tools in this Evolutive Physical Therapy (EPT)* are the know about the properties of the tissues, the biomechanical of them (on a hand) and the Physical Anthropology ( the another), using the science for bring to the present the past reading the signs made by the time. And with that hands working sinchronously can bring us this way of understand a lot of pathologies, and with the cause of the problem, we can create better treatments.

The Tissues can be studied by three ways (in general), one way is use an analysis of movement (just like muybridge)and create a virtual representation of that, giving you a knowledge about the space that use in the movement. Another way is study the reaction of the object, to the stress using (the most common forces) compressive force and tractions. And finally, simulate the movement for understand the pattern in the biomechanical of the tissue.

And the Physic, in the anthropology you can study thje biology with a lot of ways, using nuclear reactions for see the expressions of the could of electrons. The sicences releated with this are the ontogen, the somatology, the ecology, learning about the cultures or the habits and discovering pieces of the past.

That sciences is what I want use, for example you can understand tha high estomachal cancer in Chile, for the food that we have ate since a lot of years ago, so the treatment isn't give medicaments for the cancer, the treatment going to be abouit the foof and the habits. And the most common example is the lumbago, the lumbar ashes, and the cause of this is a evolution not adapted yet, because we are inside the evolution and we are working inside the problem, and the solutions wil come when the sacro have an ortograde position, decreassing the problems around the 4th and the 5th lumbar nerve. With this idea i think that we can create a way of work with the past and the future, for make a better future, not increassing the life, the idea is Increasse the quality of the life.

Using the technology for our quality of life, not against it, like ever.

*EPT doesn't exist, is a word created by me, but every area exist, the idea of the EPT is amalgamate it.

Post # 11: Challenges in your discipline.

I think that in Chile we need to improve a lot of things to make better physical therapiests, not for be better than other countries, the important thing is improve the career, for improve the professionals and then, improve the health of this country.

On a Hand, in Chile exist a big problem about the salaries and the statal investment, the dirty money put us its feets on our heads, and that is a real reform that its necessary, not just in the Physical Therapy, in the statal hospitals. But in the exclusive area of Physical Therapy, i think that we need mor time for the treatment, time for follow the reparation of them problems, and have the oportunity of make a better work, decreassing the morbility in the muscleskeletical area. And that idea isn't so utopic, I think that more efficient professionals could make work more in the same time, work and make better the life of a lot of patients, but

How?

Well, that's the challenge, improve the deducation of Physical therapiests, who learn since first year in them university the value of the career, and the importance that they'll have in the future, a future not so far... That is the principal reform to make in this country, the same idea ( like the last post) about make changes with a looking in the long-term, a vision that just a few
have in this country, the Capitalism is Capitalizingf us!
And work in theresearchs, Chile is very poor in the context of the Physical Therapiests's research, we need make better treatment, but we need national research for have a scientific foundation, that guarantee us and with taht, discover another things, maybe another pathology or change milenaries treatment for another more efficient.

On the other hand, we have to teach and teach once and once time again social values, like the altruism, or just improve the empathy in chilean's Physical therapiests, because they're going to work (maybe) with patients for years and years, and one time they could have rich patients, poor patients, homosexual patients, murder patients and they must help them, not for the rule of hypocrates, because they're person, a person who made mistakes (muerder) and you don't know how could be him later, maybe he can help your life, and because and that is their life, you aren't a judge who choose who must be good or bad, you're a man or a woman who learn something calls Physical therapy, and that value must be so much higher for have a better treatment.

And Finally ( because i don't have more hands), I think that we can improve the chilean medicine, this occidental medicine mixing the oriental medicine, a medicine more holistic, which work with pathologies and with people, a perfect complement, which could work very good in american countries (at last).

Ok, see you later!

Post # 10: Improving your faculty

This faculty?
It's a great place, a big building with a lot of historic importance, for its students, its professors, and all the voices listened and researchs made in this places, this university have an amazing intelectual world, but we need more places for make real that dreams, avant-gard laboratories for avan-gard researchs, and better places for study the health, we have a lot of clinic campus but not all are the best pl.aces for our patients, better machines, better technologies from client service to technical workshop in this faculty. On the other hand, this faculty needs a harder work on our personal and ethics values, i know that we have the vocation, but that's isn't enough, we must work it for make better health professionals, and more critical person ( value that in this society isn't so important).

I think so that if we start improving the places of the faculty, increassing the numbers of the classrooms ( the learning isn't only with class, is doing parallel activities, like seminaries, activities, questioning sessions or just more practical hours, with a lot a mental work, i think that working in the building, we give the possibility to the students and professors, improving the learning, and that going to give us better health professionals, who going to work in a lot of places, improving the quality of the medical institutions, hospitals and clinics, that could give us more money for the work in the classrooms ( it's important, not forget that we are a statal university, and the state give us money, money that we have use eficiently, for keep our quality and make changes improving and never decreassing a side for make better other side), and making that places, we'll have better students, better health professionals, better places to work it, and then we can improve the clinical campus with our money and our knowledge.

The impacts of our improving process, of course is the health of chilean population, making a health efficient, of high quality, fats, more human, with less mortality, and above all, making better the quality of the everypatient of Chile at last, and well, a good health, give you more chances for have a better life.

For start:

If we talk about my hobbies, I think that we must talk about my life, because my hobbies have been created for every moment that I had, for example, the music is for me a hobby, a hobby that exist since I was a kid, when I wanted be a rock star, or now, a moment for reflect about my internal world.Another example is the people, talk with people.. in my chase, I remember my infancy so much superficial than these days, and that egocentric style of know people bored me, A LOT, and that was the reason that "make the change" , later decress the ego and increase the others opinion, talk with people, friend at last, and now, talk with everyone.

Now, my hobbies.
Well, my hobbies are Listen music, tal with people (about everything, I prefer that the other person start the ideas, is better listen that talk sometimes) and another big hobby is learn things, learn things about everything, isn't necessary that I learn something useful, the important is learn something unknown.

I can start the learning every moment of my life, with every conversation and everyone, that's the reason for what I never feel bored, I'm ever doing my hobbies, except, listen music, that hobby is something... bigger, that's so much important for me, like the religion for others.. the same thing.

I need everyday feel things with music, change my world or my thoughts with the vibrations that give me the music, feel the body, the emotions of the song of the words are something spectacular, I have read that when you stimulate your Central Nervous System with music, you can feel orgasms, intelectual orgasms, that feelings aren't like the sexual orgasm, are feelings of elevation and maxim concentration , and the better of this is that you DON'T NEED drougs for feel that, just learn listen the music!, you don't need drougs for have peace in your mind.

These hobbies have gave me sensibility, for listen music and listen people, and that's is something irrepleacable, gave me so much, and now that hobbies are part of my life, maybe, they are like eat or drink water, and the best is that you can do it alone or with friends ( for example in a concert), this hobbies don't let you away of the society, are something totally sociable.

When? Well, now i can't doing that every day, but i try, maybe because are totally necessary and maybe because that hobbies give me so much energy, i can forget problems with music!

so, bye bye and take care
(that's for someone who read this.. but i don't think so xD)

About the summer?

I don't know where I'll go this summer, i prefer the spountaneous way, I mean, just if exist the possibility of go out from santiago I'll take it. My idea is just take a rest of the university for any days, I think that is necessary for take reload the energy for perform well in this rutine, escape from the monotony.

If I remember about the places that I have visited, I remember La serena and Coquimbo, nice places for rest and share a lot of things walking on or just sitting with the sea in front, but when I went there I was a kid, I don't rest!,
I played and run all around the place.. I enjoyed a lot the beach, the sea, the air, that special place. And after a lot of days, i was away, I was to the south of Chile, and that was a very strange journey, because I went there when I was five years old, that summer was something like see again the past, remember a lot of things when i wente there, and learn a lot of another thing, about Chile and its places, places for dream.

Ahh!, and Brasil, in my study trip, a great moment when I knew a lot of things, another culture so much relax and maybe happier, they feel the day.. and maybe that's is the best souvenir from that country, a little of their style of life, that's was an important thing that I brought from
that place.

Now, I want go to a country, with more historical value, I think that this is thge moment when I must learn about the history of the people, know people that talk to me about hystories that no one else knows, that particular treasure is my objective for this summer, eternal nights with something for the stomach and a lot of things for the brain.
And thinking in that objective, I think in two possibilities:

- The first possibility is a trip to the north of Chile, and there find that people, find conversations with peoples more relax than me, because with the sea, that wind and thye sand, you can't have excuses for be under stress, you can take a rest walking with music in the beach or make a party in thje beach ( or at last, the first hours of the party)...

- The other option, is stay in santiago, and enjoy all the things that you can't enjoy in the year, maybe enjoy friends, enjoy time with the family or work in something more relax.
I don't like lose time doing nothing, i like learn things, study something that I don't know, things like that, and maybe this summer i won't go to anywhere, any physical place, but reading you can travel even the mind of people, and that is the reason that i enjoy santiago, have that power, the people and their histories.

Post # 7: summary of a career-related article from "The Guardian"

"Neck pain,
What treatments work? "
BMJ Group, Wednesday 14 October 2009 00.00 BST

This article is about "the Neck pain". It's a regular pain, and often it gets better for a couple of days... but the history never is so simple, when the pain stays or gets worse, you must do something about it. In that case, you could take a lot of options:

A) The better option, is get an hour with a physical therapy, or a chiropractor and put ice in that zone.
The treatment with an especialist will improve your problem because them going to work with the cause of the problem, how?:

1) Mobilisation: With the manipulation of the segment or with sharp thrusts, reducing the problem and decreasing the pain. For example, exist the "Mackensi's treatment" (a mobilisation JUST done by a specially qualified physical therapiest). First, the PT looks at your neck and feels it in different positions and later he give you exercises to do according your problems, still you can do that exercises by yourself. Too,exist evidence about hands-on treatments (mobilisation and manipulation), it says that reduce neck pain more than less active physical treatments, such as using hot or cold packs.
There are a few studies, and most have found these treatments work about the same However, one small study found that physiotherapy with thrusts was slightly better in the short term than gentler manipulation. The thrusts were applied to the middle part of the spine, not the neck. They were done by pulling on the patient's arms to create leverage.

2)Manipulation (often done by a chiropractor)

The chiropractors use movements-based treatments for neck pain, and there are some similarities between the manipulation and the mobilisation. This manipulation is about the use of short and sharp movements to push a joint slightly further than it would usually move ( this is the famous "cracking sound"). But exist a risk of more serious complications, for the treatment. This can happen if an artery taking blood to the brain gets trapped ( vertebral artery), that produces headashes (not so bad), but a study says that up to 3 in every million people who have manipulation have a stroke afterwards. And anotherstudy says that up to 1 person in a million may get a slipped disc (A slipped disc happens when one of the shock-absorbing discs in your spine gets damaged and presses on a nerve).

Theres exist a lot of stuides that have found these treatments work about the same and one... and other small studies found that physiotherapy with thrusts was slightly better in the short term than gentler manipulation.

b)Exercises.

You can take a routine of exercises por make stronger the muscleskeletal structure.
Strengthening exercises may help long-term neck pain, stuides says that the cronic pain improve with this treatment. And this exercises are in home and in your houses, and the idea is make stronger the treatment with the help of medicament and a specialist.

Too,Combining an exercise programme to strengthen your neck with manipulation by a physical therapiest can help long-term pain, a study says that of 94 people, physiotherapy and exercise helped 6 in 10 people get rid of their neck pain and only 3 in 10 people got better with exercise and general advice.

c) Take any medicament for improve the pain.

1) Painkillers:
Exist mild painkillers such the paracetmalo, that can help you to stay more relax.
2) Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs):
Such as ibuprofen, can help pain and reduce the inflammation of sore tissue, very specifi, but it could give you side effects, like as stomach pains, diarrhoea, skin rashes, headaches, and dizziness.
3) Stronger painkillers:
Only if the problem is several, your specialist may recommend a more powerful painkiller, such as codeine. But a side effect side effect cause nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and constipation.
4) Muscle relaxants:
These drugs relax your muscles and also make you calm and sleepy( Such benzodiazepines, such as diazepam) . Too, Muscle relaxants are sometimes used for people in severe pain from muscle spasms, but they are used for only a short amount of time. But you must be careful, because is possible to become depend on these drugs if you take them for too long, this means you have withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking them.

Exist another treatments, but this are the main treatments, for see mor, visit:

A sporting life

A sporting life is like an utopian idea, because in the modern life, make sport is lose oney woring, at last for the people who work, because the "big boss" can make a lot of things using the money of his employees. I think that sporting life is a great life style, a style that i'm trying get, but the studies hamper it, i know that that style can bring me a lot of profits, like obtain a better cardiovasculas system (more efficent), burn the adiposse tissue that never is good for the own health, or for enjoy a while making a sport with any friend.

If we look higher, we can undesrtand the rol of the sport in the society, because if a society don't make sport suitable for the quanty of calories you eat, you start a cicle that never endes, a cicle that every day will making your body a scourer, because that adipose tissue will turn you in a obese, and that will brign problems in the knees, with the heart, with have a normal life, losing your quality of life. And for that you must motivate to the childrens to make sports, because they'll learn that style of life, and that knowledge won't be forgotten. You must teache them that the sport could be fun if they do it with friends, or make that they run or just play, without the idea of "make sport".. but in old people, that's is more difficult, because they don't want do sport for their illness, they prefer walk or just stay in their home, is easier and less dangerous... and that is other problem, because kids or old people in la pintana can't make sport in the street, or just walk, for the fault of a lot of drug delear can make a war in the street for their drugs.

Finally I want talk about the future, because i think that in the future, the numbers of obeses will increase in a amazing way, for the fault of the technology, wich make us machines who forget that exist trees, seas... a life out of the T.V and the PC.

Post # 5: What to do / where to go in Santiago

Santiago is a strange city, you can expect anything, really, whatever what you can imagine!

Well, if you want make a travel in this place, you must eat something for take any calories, and the restaurants of the "Plaza de armas" exist all the calories that you want, with a lot of food, a lot of hot dogs, or enormous sandwiches for a little price, a very cheap idea. Later, you can stand up and go to walk a while for the street "huerfanos",there you'll see theatre, dance, music, religion, politic and social problems, that stree is like a X-ray of Chile, just walking you 'll know even the worst state of the young chileans.

Later, of walk and talk with any druk who have you found, go to "estación mapocho", where you can see that big place across this crazy city with an exhibition of a contemporary artist. Now, if you walk by bandera, you can go in a "café con piernas", an excelent place where you'll found the craftiness of chileans men, enjoying a coffe with dance and looking people who is really crazy for a girl! better than a starbucks. After that funny coffe, you can go to the "Mercado Central", a big place where you'll know tipical chilean food, and know "Donde Augusto", a place where a lot of famous people have eaten, you can feel like another!

For a relaxing place, you can go to "Quinta Normal", where you can remember the past walking in that jovial place, well..in a time, before the internet and this globalition that make them T.V and Capitalism Robots.. Now, there is a place where you can watch trains from the last century or know something about the chilean fauna, and enojy ( if you have good luck), any clown, but clown with a mixing from Europe (france in special) and Chile.

Too, you can go to the "Bellas Artes" Museum, where you can know the critical and the deep art of chilean people, full of image about the chilean society or global society, because the pictures, the photography and the words in chile, talk higher than the T.V.... the problem is that a lot of people want be deafs.

And in the night, you can go to Bellavista or the street republica, where you can know pub's, how
people enjoy this city, and relax before go to the bed.

Post # 3: Transantiago, before and after

The transantiago is the Chilean system of transport, and just like a lot of chilean innovations, this system is an imitation of another country, with a lot of buses from Brazil.. very very original.

Well, this system was bad implemented for impulsive chileans, the same that stand the bad education in Chile because their ideas are "win votes for give us bread" ( bread and circus for the poor), and ... well, any idea for make better the air pollution.

This is a simple system what use the new technology in the locomotion, using electronic cards in electronic collectors, giving more tranquility to the drivers of the bus because they don't need collect or figth with the passengers. And for the routes, the technology use GPSs, more hidraulic systems and buses more ergonomic, for all people (even handicapped person).

The system is at its most, for a lot of reasons what make the trip really unpleasant, fot the smells, the suffocating air and the uncomfortable in the peak hours.. but, in the buses don't exist so much thefts, because there isn't place for do it, i think that is a good point.

In my chase, the transantiago give me the possibility of don't lose so much money for every way of transport that i take, for the long distance what i must cover for go to the university. Too, the Transantiago reduce the possibility of being attacked in the nigth, because the line is shorter than the past, when a trip was around San bernardo, Pte Alto, La La Florida, a trip of the death!!

I think that the problem is the excess of population in Santiago, the State must make reforms doing better place for study in city don't called "Santiago", where people who want study, must go to Santiago and live there, and too the people don't want go away from Santiago, and that is obvusly if in another place don't exist a similar way of life... I want maintain the natural chilean culture, the porotos and the clean air in the south of Chile, but i think that if we put place similar than santiago, like the same oportunity of job, schools, universitys, pubs, or malls ( obvusly inplace where the impact don't be so hard), i think that we can distribute chilean population in all the country, decressing the excess of problems in Santiago and increassing the oportunitys in the others regions.

Post # 2: A country I would like to visit

I would like visit the republic of austria, that place very very faR, but I would like visit all the buildings in that country, buildings made by great architects, in fact they have influenced, like rudolfg von alt. Too, i would like visit the structures made by their natives, their german culture, I think that country could be incerdible, a great place for live and think, just like a lot of incredible scientist, like pauli, like freud like a lot of brilliant people who had a lot of ideas in this place..

I want know the hystory of that place, beacuse there is a central point in the history of our culture ( for example the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, or the big importance in the third reich, for the german people living here), this is a injured country, a place surviving for the time and that rehabilitations is somethging very spectacular, something what i want know and have thye possibility of find any secrets, know how the austrians live, i think that could be very strange go for the bread in the same place where kafka, beethoven, mozart or anton zeilinger.

I wish be there when the snow fall in the city and know a real snow, with frozen streets.. or know so much people not so warm like in Chile, people more frozen, it could be a great experience for know a little more my culture, the wporld and the human society.

And finally, i want knoe the lenguage, is a very complicate lenguage, not for learn, for the pronunciation, a lenguage very strange ( not like german, english or portuguese), i like the words like "Topfenstrude" ..

A very great pleace for live and rest!

Post Nº 1:summary of previous exp.

Well, in the last term I learn a lot about anathomy, really a lot, but I learned love that subjkect, love the work with bodys and the Beautiful acts of people who wanted make better the life of others with them bodies, with them acts.
I learn about my career too, in a lot of different aspects, for have the an idea about what in want going to especialize, and that... was very relaxing, because that calmed my crazy drive of study medicine, i really want this career i and that is a great peace. And well, the last semester i learned a lot of thing about theatre, for a friends.. and that knowledge is a good tool in my mind, because that give me a way of run away of the stress when i need or make that stress in a good thing.
But there isn't anything WORST than the excercise, because that just a superfluous activity, only for lost the time practicing things what will be lost, or atrophied!! i like the swiminng, but i don't like the gym or run, or maybe make any sport in a gym... i don't like it, i didn't any sport and i just going to do any sport when i need to work with people and help them with their exercises.

In my career, the challenges is survive, because we are changing the plan of study, and we are the laboratory's rat, used for the experiment of this program.. but, i like this, keeping this time, because make me work harder, and the success are so much better.
So, in the academic, everything was work, study, study but have good times too, go to the theater, have interseting conversations or just talk about life in a nice place... That challenge (survive) is what i think that ios the harder life in the world, everything can be resolve if you can survive this beat..
For example, in my holidays, i studied the life like a "state of matter" with a book of a chilean biologist... and my investigation was very very fruitful, i wrote a lot of pages and i'm working in that, but the there was just a problem, i don't sleep so much, i read and talk with a people a lot.. and that tiredness was in my body still a years before today...

Well, i hope make a better effort this term, and make blogs, may be batter, may be more complex... i hope.

Second Term

Post # 11: my blogging experience

Well, this wasn't the first time doing blogs, but this time was very different, because the change from Spanish to English is a very interesting moment, not for the change of words, the big change was thinking in English, go out of the class of blogs talking in English, because in the blog session you were around one hour thinking, talking and writing in English, and your mind think that your lenguage is English.
About the grammatical aspect, the blog is a great moment for write and learn about this lenguage, know the virtual world of English (especially in the work of search tools of our career), learn a lot of new words, searching words for reply the questions of kineobst, and a lot of new things in the works releated with physical therapy, new words or know people related with the career who have great hystories.
I like a lot the method of "Blogs", because the blogs are great tools for do homeworks, and enjoy it. Write about a topic in the blog, search information in the web have a giant diference with do a homework in a paper and later delive it. In my chase is more didactic build a blog, personalize it, write my opinions, and if I learn with that, I think that is great.

And in another aspect, a blog is a way vary simple for know new people, my future workmates and my clasmates too, the relationship with obstetric has goten a great free-flowing, wich has been stronger with the interaction between they and us, even that interaction has made butterflies in any classmates.

Well, and finally, the analysis in ted was great, a big work, but very cool, because you learn about the speed of anglo-saxons, the pronunciation and even in the jokes of them.

Well, i think that this will be the last post, at last in preintermidate, for all the readers, bay bye and good luck

Peace, love an empathy!!

Post 10 : Your Ideal Job

My ideal job is work in Africa, work in any institution wich try to make better the life of people who have been forget, people without bread, neither candys.... neither rigths because they are, literaly, forgotten...
because everyone in this planet are forgetting the others, and forgetting themself, "we just stay lying in our lifes, lying in nothing".
People without "another" (even, without family), are people who I want to help and give them the best treatment that i can try to make their lives better. That is the best of the world, where my main salary is the happiness of my patients, patients who really need help... and I know I'll need money for live, but I can live with three sandwichs at day if is necessary for make better their life.

For that job you need a lot of conviction, altruism and money for the tickets trip. You need a lot of emotional inteligent too, because you could lost a lot of patients, because there is an extreme world, where just the bigger eat, and the other die. You need know a lot of ways for help, be a great health professional, beacuse you won't have the same thing whan you can have in a hospital, maybe you will learn a lot of natural ways for cure people.

I think in that job... and i love it, i just know that my place is there, and i'm working for be there, i'm studying a lot, making better my knowledge and my skills for make real my plan, work a lot around ten years and acumulate a lot of money, wich i'll put in institutions for people with pathologies... Then, i'll have my work and those institutions, and that place will give me money wich i'll save, and when i have the necessary money, i'll start the trip to that place.
I have this plan in my head, so inside, and that is the reason what i know i'll do it, because i'm really arranged.

The problem of the job is THE JOB, the job is a great oportunity but a giant problem, where you must develop a lot of areas, develop your emotional inteligent, your skills for make friends, your knowledge about the world and about the health (and that is very very important)...
but that is totally possible.

Blog 9: Your favourite subject

I think that the best subject physiology, subject in charge of patricia campos ( teacher).
I like a lot that hours because is very necessary think and think one and another time the topics, use the formulate and never stay sleeping in the laurels of the theory( study the theory is very simple, but the practical, think and apply is more difficult, so you must learn the practice first, later theory for make better the experiments, putting into the practice the theory.

I learnt about the tansmision of the nervous impulse, the nernstt's equation about the membrana potential and how know the electrochemical energy of a cell, and the mechanism for inhibit the nervous impulse and the reason of the movement of the particles wich we use for be alive .

Blog 8: A talk review

"What are you drawing?" And the girl said, "I'm drawing a picture of God." And the teacher said, "But nobody knows what God looks like." And the girl said, "They will in a minute."
In my opinion, the problem isn't the subjects like math, like spanish opr english, the problem is the way that the teachers use, a lot of teachers use structures sinces 1200 a.c, and that is teh problem, in that years, the mind, the knowledge wasn't like the giant quantity of thing that we can learn.
Maths is a great subject if you know use, becaus the numbers are infinite and that is so funny, play with the numbers and transform that dreams, that ideas to the reality, but in the schools they just learn equations, and that never going to be maths, the maths is so much more, is enjoy the play with numbers, believe than every thing in the universe, can be change.
About the science, i think that people don't know it, they think that the science is learn chemistry, any equations of physics and memorize any thing about biology. And i really have been with the science, with prodigious people, phd who had teached me that the science is for make better the life of the society, make better the days and create any smile.

I really agree about the scarce help to encourage art and sport, because we must be integral people, and the art is a great oportunity for learn about ourself, and that, nothing can makeit better than the art and the sport, is very necessary make more spaces for the arts and change the actual paradigm, wich just work for create people perfect for JUST 1 test, the PSU (at last in Chile), and never give us tools for b preparate to this jungle called life, and never give us arms for fight with ourself.

Post 7 : Your Future

I'll be working in a public hospital, working a lot of hours, as a matter of fact, i'll be working every day and evry day, and go to the bed or go out to know any national hero who must talk to someone because he feel bad. Professionally i want work like physical therapy in a hospital with the people who need good professionals, and need someone to talk. And another dream is be the best physical therapiest of the history, or be the best in Chile, not for the fame, just for make ne research wich make better the life of the people, and make bigger this world of knowledge.

I don't use to wish, i just think in my dreams, for later work in make it real.
Well, about my personally life, will be a mix about philosophical-intelectual-and madness, beacuse i'll be working with my ideas and world, knowing new people strange people, and using them for make books, make any text about "how is live in santiago"?, or maybe " How is live Paris", because that is another thing what i want, travel and learn about another culture, but that just will be possible when i had done my work in Africa, or at last, for a breath.

And, where i'll be living?well, i'll be in the downtown, living with that broken dreams, around that crazy "world", with any friend and going to walk every day to any different place, and i know than my floks will be every there, or better said, here, because i have a friendship like brothers, and that is so great, have that security in any person, who you could ask for something and they ever try to help you.

Blog 6: The best in my career

His Works

Initially, he focused on the role of feedback to enhance movement control from which emerged interests in muscle monitoring and retraining of stroke patients with EMG biofeedback, the use of Tai Chi to improve postural control in elderly individuals to reduce or prevent falling, and the effect of constraint-induced movement therapy of the hemiplegic upper extremity on recovery of movement function.

He is involved in research to co-register "Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)" mapping of the motor cortex. He has received NIH funding ( a monetary funding) to pursue all these interests and most recently has received federal support to study the effects of robotic assistance on improvement of upper extremity function among patients with stroke.

Blog 5: Your Carrer

  1. Why are you studying this career?
  2. What do professionals in your area contribute to society?
  3. What tools will a professional in your area need to have in the future?
  4. What is your favourite subject?- Include this and more in your answer.

Well, i'm studiying this carrer because here i can make real my plan of life, i want to remake the culture of health and if i can, try to make better the life quality of the people who haven't money for pay a good health, that is the idea, make possible "have the best professionals in the public hospitals, in the centers of family health ( called "consultorio" on Chile)". And taking the second question, i think this carrer work WITH the people in every moment, and i love it, i like a lot tha "touching" with the patient. We can make work with the respiratory ills, the old people and their problems for their age.

We will use fonendoscopes, and a lot of machines for make exercices, but i think than the best tool will be the vocation, we eill have patients who we must make feel better, we must make better the life, and try to make better our life! and for that we must be very patient and a high conviction

And finally, My favourite subject is physiology, beacuse i can applicate all what i know for understan the reason of the events in the human body, and i don't mind if is so much hard, i love it a lot!

Post 4: Non frustra vixisse vidcor

"Non frustra vixisse vidcor "

This photograph was taken by me, and it show my first painting, wich i made at november of the last year in the middle of that chaos called "PSU".
Well, i toke this photograph a week after the day i made it, i don't remember why, i just take it, and later i upload it to my fotolog for ask to the people "What do you think about the picture?"
I like it, for the expression of that days, when i study and study everyday, meanwhile i was fighting with my self searching if i really want to study medicine, but i like the way how it could show the frustration of the people with the society, and the frustration with themself

Post 3: Career-related Website

Movement Systems

"We Combine The Science pof movement with the art of healing"

This site is a new web for me, i knew it a days before, and i think that it's very very cool, especially with their way of see the physichal therapy, beacause they don't see the carrer just like a carrer, they see the physical therapy like a way of study the movement, and with the new information that they could obtain, create new ways for make better the life of the people.

I use this page for take out information about words, treatment or for learn something new about the protocol in any illness.

I'm knowing new webs about physical therapy, this's something strange, beacuse i never saw things about movement and health, i used to watch things about pathologies, clinic illness or epidemiologic inquiry, but i never searched about treatment or something like that.

The Tools of Physical Therapy

- Ultrasound equipment
- Muscle stimulation
- Electrods
- Weights
- Cameras( Photograph and video)
- Tables for make the exercises for pacients
- Bycicles
- Aquatic tools,
like aquatic gloves:

Too, Exist the Delta Bells, wich is unique triangular shape allows wich is grate in patients, when they mustwork the muscular power, they could choose the resistance level with the turn of a wrist. Constructed of buoyant foam with comfortable padded hand grips, they can also be used for added balance and support during abdominal or leg workouts. I think that is a very strange thing, very cool, but it looks like somthing brings from a movie!

A lot of our tools, make the exercises easier and more localize, like this thing, calls "economy rebounder". That eccentric artefact is just a trampoline, but the angle make it an localized artefact, and a great tool for us.

And, in the respiratory treatment, there is the nebulizers, kits for compress the air,
Electronic Vibrating Mesh Technology wich creates a dense therapeutic aerosol, special for tha patients with asma, or patients with Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I like a lot the respiratory pathologies, i think than it could be my speciality in the future.

Well, talking about "localized" things, this is something is very very localized and very very expensive, the Shoulder wheel, wich we can use this to measure and increase shoulder ROM. The 30" height adjustment allows the patient to use while sitting or standing.
I think this is great, i love when the technology works for make better our life ( and not make worst like a lot of times)

The problem is the price, $313.65! that's like 150 lukas in Chile!, with that, a person in Chile can eat in the month!,but nevermind, that's the way of this capitalism, and... if we think in the patient, that isn't so expensive if we think in the benefits wich could brings to the patient.

And we use bandage (a lot) for support parts of the body, that is something what we use very often, that is like our phonendoscope.

Well, in the world exist so many articles for physical theraphy like the kinds of cheese, but i just put this tools because this things were more striking, and more strange.

Post 2: The mp3 and me!

My favourite technologic thing is the mp3, and the reason is how make easier the distribution of the music in the our lifes, and that make a big change in our life styles, because that promote lifes with a lot of music in every secondon of our lifes, there isn't people who NEVER had a mp3, that's is something insane in our times!

Well, when i have a mp3 , i can't get it off, i love have every moment with music,
i enjoy it, a lot!, but the problem is that my mp3 is broke, and i can't enjoy that divine priviliege, that's the saddest thing in my life, but i know than the moment when i have my OWN mp3, that will be the greatest moment of my life... really, i need music every day, if i haven't it, i put a little crazy.

The Mp3 is an amazing thing, becaus i can put colors and sounds to the things, to the moments, i can make me happier if i'm sad, except when i'm very bad, that state drives me, to hear sad songs and walk like the world is the worst thing in the world, but that's isn't so terrible, because i do it for be happier, i know than " after the rainbow always the sun comes out"

And my life without the mp3? well, it's just like could be always, isn't a big problem don't have that, i shall miss a lot the music, wonderwall, help, imagine, ell, a lot of themes, but i don't miss buy and buy a battery every day!

My name is Alvaro and i'm a student of Physical Therapy at the "Universidad de Chile", and i want culminate this in Africa, where the stones burns.
By the way, I live in santiago, this is a great place, because it's have a lot of events, and an immense number of events that make me (sometimes) forget all the pollution in this place. That pollution which do worst everyday my lungs.
Well, my most striking characteristic is a white tuft in my hair, i'm thin and high, moreover i'm not a very sociable person, but that wasn't a problem for make friends, my problem isn't the sociabilty, the problem is that i like talk themes which just a little group of people talk, and talk about another things make the process of "meeting" a little boring. Well, how i said, i'm studying Kinesiology, a carrer which try to get better the life of the people, using the knowing about the human body. And now we are learning everything about that, the conformation on the cell and the foundations of its structures and shapes. For example, in the last class we learned the characteristics of the lipid membrane on the cell, and we learned thermodinamic, and Organic Chesmitry too. And finally, about another thing, in the last class of english, i talked for a big while in english (i never have been talked too many time in english) and the last time when i did it, was a lot of time before, and in that class we try improve the listening hability. That is what i want, i want gets by very well in english, not for a test, i want learn this for have another tool for this crazy world, for read documents about science, about phylosophy, about a lot of thing, i hope have the hability for hear song and understand (well, since english started i have advanced a lot, even i am hearing parts of songs, and that is very very cool.

And without another thing for tell you

bye bye!
